Public Facilities & Transportation
More and more we hear about public facilities and transportation sites being target areas (trauma) for crime. Public places where victimization occurs will cover a wide variety of locations, from places in small towns to the busiest metropolitan areas. Public locations are in fact 26% of the crime index, and this is increasing at a spell binding rate. (Incidents on public streets, including streets near work, parking lots, local pub, nightclub, sports bar, café; in and around a sports ground, places of public entertainment (e.g. a cinema), public buildings (e.g. shop, school, hospital); on and around transportation.)
The prevention of cross-contamination and spread of potentially life threatening diseases is critical. Bacteria and viruses kill more people yearly than auto accidents, breast cancer, and AIDS combined.
Pathogens are either airborne or bloodborne, and transmission happen by direct (cuts, skin abrasions, needles) or indirect (nose, mouth, eyes, and open sores) contact. Public facilities and transportation sites are no strangers to unhealthy conditions. Our first priority is to protect and insure the safety of the public and the environment.
